### NC WILD CONCERT: A CALL TO ACTION TO PROTECT NORTH CAROLINA’S NATURAL HERITAGE

Charlotte, NC – July 8, 2024 – The NC Wild Is Alive Concert and Film Premiere will take place on August 10 at 7 PM at the Broyhill Civic Center, aiming to shed light on the pressing issues threatening North Carolina's natural heritage and communities.

This event is more than just an evening of entertainment. It’s a rallying cry for citizens across the state to recognize and act against the destructive forces undermining our environment, wildlife, and way of life.

**Why This Concert Matters**

North Carolina's stunning landscapes, from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Outer Banks, are at risk. Short-sighted decisions have led to actions that prioritize short-term gains over the long-term health of our environment and communities. Forests are being cut down, waterways polluted, and wildlife habitats destroyed, all in the name of progress.

**What We Are Losing**

- **Wildlife**: Our state is home to a rich variety of wildlife species, many of which are now endangered due to habitat loss and pollution.

- **Natural Resources**: Clean air and water, vital for our health and agricultural prosperity, are being compromised.

- **Cultural Heritage**: The natural beauty and biodiversity that define North Carolina are intrinsic to our cultural identity and heritage, now under threat from unchecked development and exploitation.

**Join Us in Taking a Stand**

The NC Wild Is Alive Concert will feature performances by local musicians who share a commitment to conservation and environmental justice. The event will also include the premiere of a powerful film documenting the impacts of environmental degradation and the courageous efforts of local activists to combat these challenges.

"Through music and film, we hope to inspire a movement," said Don Newton, Concert Coordinator. "This is a pivotal moment for North Carolina. We must come together to protect our state from forces that seek to destroy what makes it unique."
